- Dry Cleaners:
Soil and groundwater testing at the rear, in front, and within the dry cleaning facility should be tested for Chlorinated or Petroleum Solvents. Because Chlorinated Solvents tend to sink into the aquifer, groundwater testing should be conducted at several depths.
- Adjacent Out-parcel Gas Stations:
Soil and groundwater testing should be conducted along the property boundaries of the subject property and the gas station. Groundwater can be collected from temporary monitoring wells and analyzed for components associated with gasoline, diesel, and, if service facilities are or were present, for waste oil, solvents, and metals.
Soil can be collected and field-analyzed for hydrocarbons with an Organic Vapor Analyzer (OVA) and can be analyzed in a laboratory for components associated with gasoline, diesel, waste oil, solvents, and metals.
