All Appropriate Inquiry is the inquiry into the previous ownership and uses of the property consistent with good commercial or customary practice.
In order to satisfy All Appropriate Inquiry, at a minimum, the following tasks should be conducted.
- Site Visit
- Title Search
- Review of site history, including interviews with former land owners or others familiar with the property.
- Review of historical aerial photographs.
- Review of Agency Records.
- Review of historical cross-reference city directories.
- Review of available fire insurance and topographical maps.
- Preparation of a Report.
All Appropriate Inquiry defines the Phase I Environmental Site Assessment.
